A Safety clinic is set for Saturday March 12th starting at 9:00 am sharp. The clinic will be held at the Athens YMCA. Please contact Rob Blair at [email protected] and let me know your desire to attend. Become a safety coordinator or meet your clinic requirements with this valuable class. We are fortunate to have Dan Pritchard as our instructor.
Junior Development News
The Junior Development skiing circuit continues to grow in Georgia. Two more junior opportunities have been added, listed are the events.
· Weekend of April 16th and 17th Junior Development Three Event Clinic at Southern Waters
Complete the Registration Form on Page 3 and email to [email protected]
· For the three event clinic, this is a first registered first served basis, so please register for the clinic early. Clinic cost is $20.00 for the two days. The entries will be limited to 15 Jrs.
· A regional junior development clinic will be held at Jack Travers in Florida, April 2nd and 3rd.
· Saturday June 4th, Mountain View Juniors Only, Clinic and Tournament. Slalom only and limit of 20 entries. See Regional Guide for entry.
· Clinics are open to members of GWSF and USA Water Ski, in the Boys and Girls 1-3 age divisions. Clinics are not, however, Learn to Ski clinics.
· Pro Coaching available at the clinics.
Adult Development News
The Federation board is proud to announce the continuation of our adult development program. Our first function will be at Ray Crenshaw’s Mountain View site Sunday June 5th and another opportunity to be announced. Programs offer pro skier instructors, a limited entry so personalized time can be spent with each student, priority registration and a discounted price to GWSF members.
Adult Development News
The first GWSF clinic will be held June 5th 2011, at Mountain View Lake in Toccoa. The instructor scheduled will be Pro Coach Jeff Rodgers. This will be a one day adult slalom clinic with a maximum of 20 sets instructed for the day and two sets maximum per registrant. This means you can receive top shelf instruction right here in Georgia at a discounted rate, a great benefit made only to GWSF members. The clinic will start at 9:00 and run until the 20 sets have been completed.
Please contact clinic coordinator Ray Crenshaw to register. Non GWSF skiers will be on a waiting list until May 1st. GWSF members must sign up by April 30th to receive priority registration.
